Welcome to Biloxi! A coastal beach town on the Gulf Coast of Mississippi known for its white sandy beaches and the many casinos along the coastline. Biloxi has been known to be called “The Vegas of the South” and does not shy away from its vibrant nightlife. Aside from visiting the beach and playing at the casinos, there are so many things to do in Biloxi — going to see shows, visiting the aquarium, and going to see the local Double-A Minor League Baseball team, the Biloxi Shuckers (Milwaukee Brewers affiliates). While most of the year the weather in Biloxi is comfortable, they do succumb to hurricanes during the Atlantic hurricane season (June 1st through November 30th) and most notably sustained damages from Hurricane Katrina in 2005. This project focuses on attracting tourism to the area after years of rebuilding the area in its post-Katrina era.
